I am having a hard time finding why since we have one of the longest coastlines for a state and with all the lakes and of course the Delta with 5 Rivers flowing through it along with all the other Rivers and creeks and streams in the State it seems we have a shortage of members on this site 👁👎 each and every day I see numerous posts from other states with a lot from single states with a whole lot of members 🤣 without being rude to others is my State so bad in natural resources and the price of a fish 🎣 license that we have a low percentage of participating members 👎🤣

I hit send before I was done 🤣🤣 the last part is also maybe the ones that are here and posting are the only ones that give a hoot about what we as individuals are trying to accomplish and give information and help others who enjoy the outdoors particularly fishing 🎣 and the rest of the state sucks

Plumbob would know for sure, but I think we have more members than any other state. Maybe just not a very wordy bunch. There is a section on here just for California fishing, are you aware of that post? Hell I post all the time and there are a bunch of folks on here who don't think much of me for doing it. Can't please every one. So . . . . . . . you know.

I think we have a pretty good representation of the state myself.
Haven't heard lots of news from down in So Cal for a while, but it is summer time so hot weather and fishin don't mix real well most of the time.
I post at least 2 or 3 times a week on my fishin trips. I don't post from ALL my trips, but most of them I do.
Mitchfish use to post a lot too, but he moved to Texas.
Andy posts a lot. Gillsdeep916 use to post more, NorcalSteve use to post more often too. What happened guys?
However, with all the members we have in this state, we could/should see more fishin posts from more of our members.
What about it guys? Lets see some more posts from your fishin trips.

Hello D Tong, I will share my opinions with you because you asked the question. In my opinion and knowledge the main reason is because of the large number of “BASS FISHING 🎣 CLUBS IN CALIFORNIA”. Most of the clubs fish for “MONEY” and are extremely tight lipped on fishing information. Most members in these clubs don’t even discuss accurate fishing information with each other. Now if you a in a specific “CLICK” you will get fed the information to a small extent but not completely. You have to in return give what fishing information that they “Possess”. Most of the information is incorrect and extremely not truthful. If you should go on the website’s they are very tight lipped and their answers to fishing questions are really vague. I have personally experienced this in the fishing clubs that I have been involved with. Maybe I have got a negative attitude but the pattern proves to hold true. I will list the numbers of Bass Fishing Clubs In California.. Now I am not saying all the Bass Club are that way but you will be surprised to find how many are tight lipped and and are not willing to share their fishing information with you. It’s so sad that this has happened. Now if you are one of top “STICKS” in the club you will have more friends than you would ever want…

Perhaps there are many who feel that it's infringing upon the rights of fish to catch them in pursuit of a meal, or even worse, to enjoy the sport as a form of recreation. I come across this attitude from extreme animal rights adherents in the press occasionally. To each his own, I say. Hopefully , our pastime will not be legislated out of existence any time soon.

Plum and I used to keep a tally of the individual members from each state but my tally got very over-crowded, and I quit doing it. I don't know if plum still does it or not. Trust me at the time I was keeping track, CA. had its share of members, along with TX. and Florida. The Florida people are still members but they are not as active in the Summer months.

With you there Fg in the used to department. I had a list per state and between California and Florida they showed the most users with Texas coming in a strong 3rd. However when the computer crashed it took out excel where the list was and i didn't have it backed up.

Poachers! Lots of them.If you post a good catch or spot, you'll be crowded out on your next visit. On an old site that stopped their forum, you had to blur the background to have any chance of getting back to your "spot".

The lakes here on the central coast are drying up, and the few that have adequate water levels are so pressured that I let my County parks pass expire and have not had the boat out in months. Very sad.
I will be up in the Trinity Alps in October for a pack hunt and will be staying on the banks of the Trinity river. As a non-trout fisherman, I will have a lot to learn in a short period of time!

Another reason I don't usually take pics while out on the water. I wait till we get home if we keep any.
IF however I caught a BIG fish that I wasn't planning on keepin anyway, I would take a pic before releasing it.

What kills me is guys that post on this forum and expect someone to give them all the details about where and when to fish. I saw a post recently asking for GPS numbers for gulf fishing.....are they nuts?
