I just replaced my paddle power with this one in January. Other then a expensive Hobie model this was a good investment.

Hobie would have been nicer but the $$$$ savings was just as good.

I chose camo because i feel like i am sneaking into their shallow hiding spots. Of all places got it new on Craigs list.

Those of us that enjoy kayak fishing are thrilled to see you get into the sport via the paddle craft. Whether or not you "paddle"or "pedal", it is a great way to go fishing.

When I first joined this forum I was contemplating the purchase of a kayak, and the folks on the site were quite helpful in offering opinions, experience and advice...much of which I took to heart. Several features of how I ended up setting my rig up came from PLUMBOB, so he is a great resource.

In my early days on the forum I posted a few "topics" with the word "pescador" in them (the brand I ultimately chose), and if you place that word in the search box you can see some of my original postings, along with what people said to me.

Also, as a new user you may find it helpful to know that when you click on somebody's username, the system will take you to all of their postings so that you can go back in time and recall things that may have been said.

Good luck in your pursuits, and we will look forward to seeing your kayak along with some photos. By the way...very wise to have a craft that is lightweight! Sure makes getting it on the water much easier!

Is this it Bill? Had some letters in front of the 285 on the web site. When i clicked on it it showed the camo you mentioned.

Storage in the front it appears and a space in the back also for a cooler. Raised seat is a plus and i think i see a rod mount hole.

All looks good to me. I would have 2 anchors attached to the seat if it were mine. Also keep that paddle bungeed to the yak. Heart breaking seeing your paddle floating while you are reeling.

It goes without saying a good PFD is a must. West marine has the inflatable ones for just over $ 100.

Best launch site are usually where beach is reasonably flat, and water is quickly getting deeper, a hard combination to come by. Good luck, and welcome
