I had a great day on the lake last week! Was fishing all day and caught quite a few rainbows. For reference, the biggest fish I’ve ever caught was a 19” walleye. We were heading in to the dock and decided to troll back slowly. I had a 2” spoon from Cabelas that I had never used, so I cast that out and put it in a rod holder on the boat. Then I cast a small crank bait on a pole I was holding. As we meandered back at 2 mph we were chatting away (me and my Sweetheart of 36 years) and she says β€œfish on!” and shuts off the motor. I drop my reel and grab the pole by her and start reeling … ok something big is on this! I had a fun time bringing this guy in and measuring … 30”! (the minimum keeper on this lake is 36”). What a memory we will both have of this day. Nearly 7 lb Tiger Muskey!

maybe next time especially if fish is released to not hold it like that...support it horizontally instead.
