Thank you everyone for all the nice words. I really appreciate everyone that took 2 minutes out of their busy schedules to comment on my postings. I’m new here to Montana so I’m still basically bumping around in the dark trying to get my feet wet. I only post on here because we all share the same passion that comes with fishing. Many of you fish for fun and food, and I support anyone that brings home fresh fish to the dinner table. As for me, I’m a bit selfish cuz I release all my fish so I can catch them only bigger on our next encounter. I will continue to pursue my passion and if the fish gods are willing, I will catch, photo and release for all to enjoy. Tight lines 😁

If what you’ve been catching is just getting your feet wet I can’t wait until you get soaking wet. Lol😂

Fires burning in several states s/w of Montana have filled our skies… but didn’t seem to bother all my underwater friends today.
Not to discriminate, got a few green ones too. Tight lines to all👍
Where about in Montana?
Our daughter lives in Kalispell.
Great bass, thanks for sharing!
Looks to me the sun was shinning anyway, Nice catch. Yes, the smoke made it to S.E Wisconsin today.
Sorry about the smoke guys. We’re burning all over her in Washington and Oregon. Pray for rain. We really need some. Actually in a drought. Water so warm it’s killing our shell fish. So look for the prices to skyrocket
12 minutes outside Kalispell… Whitefish Hills
P.S. anyone visiting beautiful Montana, make sure to make friends with the locals before messing with their fish 😂

Good advice! I spent a few hours in a local watering hole in Polson. Followed the advice I got from some locals and had one of the best fishing week of my life!
Looks like they got hard heads.

Smoke? I just got routed out of my area in northern California; was fishing near Mt. Lassen. Smoke got so bad I had to leave; it was downright unhealthy to be out in it, let alone hiking to a stream or clambering over rocks!

Whitefish is nice, city sales tax there.
Here’s a nice little lake that I’ve posted before. Foys lake, think that’s how you spell it, just outside of Kalispell.
I gave up fishing there when they up the out of state fishing license. Used to be $50 for a year now it’s $50 for a few days and you have to pick the days that you want to fish. We’re retired so we stay at a hotel up there because our daughter has a very small house.
Do you remember the little Costco in Columbia Falls? Kalispell has really grown in the last 30 plus years that we’ve been going up there.
Here’s the pictures, nice fat trout.
Back in 1997, last time that I fished there.

Nice !
Montana has raised their prices even on out of state hunting license. I believe they are one of the highest.
