[quote=Robert J Samples]Seldom do I know, nor can I know, what effect my stories have unless you as readers comment on what you’ve just read. Believe me, I know all that I write are not great, not even good, but I will never know which unless you readers give me some signals as to which is which.
Not sure why you would invite criticism about your stories when by your own admission some are embellished or as we used to call them fish stories…..which fits here fine. I enjoy most of your stories. Some have tended to run on a bit—-you asked! Of course that might just be my attention span.
Truth be told I scroll down through the new fishing stage daily to see if you’ve posted and if you have I read yours first.
Keep writing RJ—Just sayin
Looking forward to your next zoom story telling meeting! Looks like you might have another

Just don’t stop writing RJS. We are like kids at bedtime , hoping the story isn’t over yet. So please, keep your pen sharp and do continue

RJS, I want you to know I really value and enjoy your stories. I often read them to my spouse of 56 years and she likes them too. I particularly like the ones that look back to your youth or even further than that, because I believe our society has ignored far too much history and the lessons it offers.
Also wish more folks would pay attention to the things happening here today and wake up to those lessons too!
Remember your suggestions on leaving a legacy of stories and know I should do so, but seem to keep to busy with day to day life to get around to it.
Regardless, you certainly have the respect of many of us on this forum!
