My buddy and I went Modesto Res this morning on the water before 6am second cast a Smallmouth about 3/4 of a pound we wound up catch 16 Bass today largemouth and Smallmouth. The Res. Is shallow deepest parts are only 15 to 20ft. And you can be in shallow water real quick!!
Had a great morning lost one nice bass right at the boat. All on the under spin jigs with 4"" shad round tail 3/8 head.
Only took one picture all were small still good day.

16 fish between you sounds like a great day Andy. What brand Underspin jig heads are you using? I have a couple Strike King, and a couple skinnier ones from BPS. I've only tried them with minnow style soft baits, but never with paddle tails. Only had a few bites on them. Thanks for the picture.

They have a fish shaped head can't remember the name of company but the bait I use is KEITECH ( Easy Shiner 4") I buy them from Turner's outdoorsman. I'm sure you can look them up and order them. I have to get more I'm down to one !!
But this set up I have been knocking the h_ll out of the Bass!! Smallmouth,Large mouth and Kentucky Spots.

Where is Turners Outdoorsman? Went to the pond about the same time you guys were getting on the water, slow today only caught 6 but caught them on top water, worms ,and one on a Beatle spin trying for a blue gill.

There is one in Stockton
And one by me in Modesto.
They are in Orange county
that is where they started at many years ago.
They carry top introduces brand names. Bought my 1st dozen set of mallard of decoys their , many many years ago.
I'm glad the put one Modesto it been here a year now my older son shoots archery tournaments for them.(3-D).
Thinking about applying at the store Part time by me.
Can't fish all the time!! Here employees get great discounts!!
