Nice video Larry. Thanks for sharing.
Did they close that part of the bay for the release? I didn’t see any boats on the water.
The one and only time I ever water skied was at Mission Bay.

I don’t think that they did.
Pretty shallow water it looks likes.
Looks to me to be around Fiesta Island area. Not sure.

Speaking of which, looks like we had the OTL tournament this weekend? Is this true?

Nice bathing suits, if you can call them that and team names that I can't post here.

Wife was 19 when she played.
I used a video that admin wouldn’t get upset about.
It will probably be moved from “main” to chit chat maybe since it got side tracked from there.

Oh Larry! You brought back some wild memories of OTL. My uncle who is 94 now was one of the founding fathers of the tournament. Good ole OMBAC. I played in that tournament for years with my college buds. As you know, it can destroy some marriages. We originally played when it was just one weekend, then it grew to three weekends, explain that to your spouse when you move on. There was only 2 or 3 divisions, now who knows. Last time we played it was in the Canardly or maybe the Senior Canardly. Do they still have the Miss Emerson contest? And OH, the names

I still have the program from the Silver Anniversary tournament. Do they still have the Wool Div?
Enough said, or I could get in trouble.........again!

Thx for sharing

I played back in my yoot. Played on a very competitive fast pitch softball team when stationed in MD then moved to SD and heard about this so had to give it a try. What a blast. I know it was cancelled last year due to covid - fantastic that we are getting back to normal down there.

I don’t know about Miss Emerson but I would think that it’s still happening.

Oh yea! We did some videos, but they had to be destroyed to protect the innocent. They were recruiting interviews for Miss Emmerson.

Best name ever 6 T*** and 3 S**** in the Wool division.

Definitely is east side of Fiesta Island. Back in the 60's my Mom caught a 31# flattie drifting off the west side. How you guys were able to segue from stocking halibut to Miss Emerson is a fun read!
