We were heading out to fluke fish yesterday morning. A guy was coming in and said he’s never seen it so dead. Passed another boat and was told the east wind halted the bite. I went to my go to spot and we caught about 30 fish between the two of us. All shorts, so no keepers over 19” but it was a good day of fishing.
So you stated that you caught 30 fish 🐠 and no one else had caught any but there’s no pictures so how do we know you caught anything and this isn’t just another fish 🐟 tail just saying
I agree with you on not believing everything.
First of all , fishermen tend to play it close to the vest. They coulda had a great morning and didn’t want to share
Maybe you just hit it right
I’ve had times when I shared info on a hot bite and the guys I shared it with didn’t score.
Really have to check it yourself to be sure

They probably had there limit but wanted to keep it to themselves. You did the right thing by seeing for yourself

John, What is that one your holding in your picture? Picture is small and can't make it out.

Thats a blue fish that I caught off the beach a few summers ago. Great fight on that small rod.

Hey John, were you fishing the south shore or the sound.? I’m thinking outside the inlets is the best bet.

I was on the south shore inside Reynolds Channel. Just my second year boating so I haven’t ventured outside yet.
I think his point is if people are telling you that fish are not biting and it's a waste of time, don't always believe them. I've been in the same boat with someone catching lots of fish and everybody else coming up empty while everyone is fishing the same bait the same way.
Oops. And I do not have pictures or videos or videos to prove that
[quote=JohnG]I don’t take pictures of shorts.[/quote I do check out this door matt for Ken and Barbies home
Whtoak...... good response to an often stated "need" for photographic proof. i haven't taken fish photos of myself for years, but will take for someone else upon request. Always take plenty of them of kids who participate in derbies that I volunteer at. Don't need to document my catches, just get 'em quickly and safely released,if possible.
This does not preclude me asking for or offering advice here. Nuff said.
