Not only do I love the wonderful sport of fishing....I love fishing and smoking a very nice cigar. I am more of a cigar aficionado than an expert angler by far. I'm sure there are more of you out there that enjoy this most relaxing combination. I enjoy a nice Bolivar or Diesel or Padron when I go out. Pole in one hand....cigar in the other. Happy casting fellow lovers of the leaf.
Arturo Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece. A woman's only a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke.

I used to keep a pipe in my tackle box and only smoked it while fishing. I changed to roll your own. Makes me think I'll have to find my murcham pipe.
Used to be in the Navy new rates were given in February and August. It was customary to hand out cigars when we made a new rate. So around 1966 or 1967 a Seabee unit was working at Monkey Mountain, near DaNang, Vietnam. It was named because of all the rock apes running around. It was very hot and most of the Seabees were working without their shirts, exposing their hairy chests. A smart ass marine General came on site and said to a young construction man, "How do you tell the Seabees from the monkeys?" The construction man replied, "It's easy sir. The Seabees are smoking cigars!" That story made a headline in The Stars and Stripes newspaper and eventually around country.

Not All the Time. But I know what you Mean!
Tight Lines and long ashes. I smoke cheap Phillies Titans,, but I do allow myself three each day.
I smoke LA Aroma de Cuba "El Jefe". If I catch a fish as big as the cigar I smoke, it's a good day!

Love the Cuban Delights in several different flavors and of course the Blackstone vanilla or cherry flavored pipe tobacco. Bring on the trout.
MAS fish
La Gloria Cubana Wavell while fly fishing. Doesn’t get better.
