Last night, about 7:00 pm, I was sitting on the patio, sipping on a barley pop, and watching the birds at the two feeders, and listening to Alexa playing some Charlie Pride. This is a routine thing, and I always take the 12 ga. with me in order to keep the blackbird and the rabbit population in check. Plus, we have two resident mountain lions, a few bobcats, and many coyotes around. Keep in mind that I do live in the woods, and we can live just fine without any of the three critters mentioned previously. So, I think it is a good idea to keep a Rugar 10/22, or a 12 ga. by each of the four doors of the house. And yes they are loaded. Anyhow and anyway, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed this young coon waddling up the yard, onto the patio, and he was headed right towards me. When I shot him, he was 6" from the conversation table, 6" from my chair, and 6" from the barrel of the 12 ga. He never stopped to look at me or anything, he just kept waddling towards me. I was thinking that he may have had rabies because it was a little early for coon to be out. Marion shot a possum off of the deck once while it was eating out of the kitty dish that we had put out for the stray cats. Oh well, it is what it is.

Looked out my bathroom window one night and saw something on the bird feeder. Got my tac light and in the light saw 6 young coons ON the feeder. Took a week and several hours of lost sleep but I managed to get all 6 with my .177. Tried to get momma but she started up quick. They actually broke the steel squirrelproof feeder

Aw yes the the benifits of living the country life. Wild animals that entertain us n they don't carry guns like the ones that live in the cities. I've had numerous deer in my yard. Then fox skunk possum a pen raised pheasant now n then. Of couse i have my resident population of rabbits n squirrels n birds. They keep Chylo entertained. I do have one big old ground hog on my hit list. Can't have him digging under my shed. Benjamin 22 does the job. Y'all have a nice day stay safe👍👍

Believe it or not, my Gamo air rifle has almost the same muzzle velocity. Through shoots a squirrel at 20 yards.

I've spent 2 evenings now waiting for the beaver(s) to show at my pond. My dock is about 75 yards from the culvert where they build their dam, easy shot for my .204 Ruger if they would show themselves. Might have to try early in the morning this weekend 🤔

FT my Benjamin is air power. When i worked on dairy farm the boss had a old Benjamin. I shoot alot of pigeons off barn roof. That's why i got one. I've shoot 3 ground hogs since living here. If they stay in the fence row i leave them alone. Under my shed they dead 👍👍

Wow Grizz, that’s what I’d call a hair trigger!

It had a 6lb trigger when i got it. My /06 trigger wasn't that hvy. I took it to gun shop told them i wanted it as lite as safety would allow. He had it at 1oz n safety held but said he felt safer at 11/2 oz. I just like lite triggers. I don't loan my guns out for reason. I did more target shooting than hunting for along time. Hence the lite triggers. 👍👍
