I'd expect smallmouth bass, so maybe try crankbaits (like Rapala's). I haven't targeted them in the Brewster area, but I'd expect to find some there. Good luck!

Thanks man! I have quite the collection of crankbaits, will definitely bring them along!

We catch lots of small mouth on the Columbia from Troutdale Oregon all the way to the tri-cities. Early morning and late afternoon and evening. Soft plastics and chrome rattle traps with a blue back. Fish the mouths of the tributaries and you’ll need a big cooler to pack em all home. Good luck. Bass is unlimited on the Columbia and it’s never a problem catching 50 to 100 a day. Most in the one pound to 3 pound range.
