Went out on Virginia creek late yesterday after the tide came in and hooked up with this Red and what a fight but landed him and a few sheep head and a few Crocker

Nice Troy, i can still feel the tug and fight from my bout with those reds last week. Brought a few home and soon to be in my belly.

So true Troy. I got to get on and find my next blacken mixture. I like Old Bay topping with some crab drizzled along the top, but a blacken mix is beyond words to say how good Drum is.

Try this one sometime Plum. It worked for me.

1 Tbs garlic powder
1Tbs chili powder
1 tsp sea salt.
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp paprika
.5tsp cayenne

That sounds like it will be good Ft. Others that i have used consisted of a mustard base to give it a pasty spread. Yours sounds like dry mix. Haven't tried a dry mix yet. Yours does sound good.

That's funny. I've never seen a wet blackening rub. That came from a nutrition program that my wife has had around for almost 2.5 years. I cook it because the food is very healthy and it really does taste good.
