Not much to report today. Didn't catch the mouse, stairs got fixed. Fished for 4 hours in the heat but we must have been fishing with radishes (I don't know of any fish that bite on radishes, as a neighbor used to say.) Nobody seemed to care, just chilling on the lake. Big fish of the day was a 2 lb largemouth I caught off the dock on a leech while waiting for the others to come down. Boat loaded a lot better than it launched and spent a quiet evening watching all the holiday weekend traffic on the lake. Heading home in the morning, really wishing we had a second week. Maybe some year when things slow down. πŸ˜πŸ˜’πŸ™„

Are you a real farmer? Things never slow down until you sell everything and retire!!! We in California are still experiencing drought and hay is going to go through the roof. I just bought 4 bales for 78.00. I keep telliing my steers not to waste a single flake as they are going in the freezer this fall. Have a safe travel home.
