Not much to report today. Didn't catch the mouse, stairs got fixed. Fished for 4 hours in the heat but we must have been fishing with radishes (I don't know of any fish that bite on radishes, as a neighbor used to say.) Nobody seemed to care, just chilling on the lake. Big fish of the day was a 2 lb largemouth I caught off the dock on a leech while waiting for the others to come down. Boat loaded a lot better than it launched and spent a quiet evening watching all the holiday weekend traffic on the lake. Heading home in the morning, really wishing we had a second week. Maybe some year when things slow down. πππ
Glad you were able to make the best of it. Safe trip home!
Safe travels. IF. Take 2 weeks next year. Like K Chesney song says canβt flip the hourglass βοΈ over when it runs out of sand.

I'm sorry to see it end as well Farmer. Congrats on turning it around from the bumpy start, to wanting to stay longer. Glad you all had a good time, caught some fish, and you setting a new PB! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I say 2weeks next year
Ps :I love the new avatar, congratulations again!
Are you a real farmer? Things never slow down until you sell everything and retire!!! We in California are still experiencing drought and hay is going to go through the roof. I just bought 4 bales for 78.00. I keep telliing my steers not to waste a single flake as they are going in the freezer this fall. Have a safe travel home.
