Another great day of fishing, catching was a little slow. Did have plenty for a fish fry tonight, though. Fish, fries and onion rings what more could a guy ask for? It didn't come easy, though. Got my aluminum fry pot out and found a hole in the bottom! That won't stop a farmer, though. Tried borrowing a metal screw from the downspout but it wasn't quite big enough. Then I remembered the screws that I have found on the floor of the pontoon and have been storing in a cup holder for just such an emergency. Almost stopped the leak but still seeping. Folded up a piece of aluminum foil to use as a washer, and I was back in business!

I do need to correct a previous statement. I thought there were 33 tall steps to get from the dock to the house but there are 47! Makes one triple check to make sure you have everything you need before starting the long descent. 🙄🥵😓

As the sign in the living room here says, "if you're lucky enough to be at the lake you are lucky enough. "
That has become my mantra this week.

Nice plate of vittles there, those stairs would kill my hip, no way I could make trips up and down those

I’m surprised there is no yard sales or something or second hand store somewhere to get another fry pan. Could weld it too but not without having welder and proper rid. Aluminum can be welded with wire feed or stick DC Reverse Polarity.

Could grill em but that’s not fried.

Thanks for sharing and showing us all the pictures

That looks like a really nice cabin and setting, glad to see other’s besides me and my friend’s eat rock bass. They’re just as tasty as any other panfish in my book. Thanks for the pictures, looking forward to day five. Things are looking up.

Nice catch Farmer. Looks like a nice place, aside from the extra long stairs. At least the angle isn't too steep. Dinner looks delicious! Glad you're having fun,and keep the pictures coming.

All looks good except for the stairs if I made it to the house, I wouldn't come down until time to go home no fishing for me

Yeah, the steps are steeper than they look, and definitely not to code!

Jeremy, when I found the hole it was 7PM, 15 miles from the nearest town and they roll up the sidewalks at 5. Had to go MacGyver on it.
