Just gotta vent a bit. The past three weeks have been less than desirable. Those who follow saw my post about "Friends shouldn't let friends". Well at least that mess has come to closure. Lets not talk about getting a call the boat was ready and then finding out an additional $800.00 in repairs was needed. I have it back and am planning on running it today. What's really got my goat right now is while I was away from my property up north, Some slime bag(s) decided they needed my things more than I do. No good dirt balls robbed the place. Made off with my 4 wheeler , Tractor , and a whole list of who knows what! At least my boat wasn't there.. It was broke. 😣!
Now this morning I got a phone call from the insurance people. This ought to be fun, They are wanting receipts for any and all items claimed. Big ticket stuff Ya' Okay, but Who the "F" can come up with receipts for the equipment that vanished? J.H.C how much money is in a tackle bag? A big one.. The shit heads got 2! Rods, reels, 6 neoprene life vests. The list goes on.
Thinking right now I'm gonna follow another members lead, Gonna smoke a bunch of that shit and drink Rum till I'm numb.
Even better, Just went out side and it's "F-n" raining. 🤬

Sorry to hear about your losses, I have had similar losses at a fishing camp, even had a thirty foot travel trailer stolen from it, thank goodness it wasn't worth much ( old and trouble with leaks) but still usable for a camp, also had rod and reels and tackle inside. I hope you have luck with insurance, pics help sometimes. I hate thieves, useless pieces of rat dung

Dang, lipsticker. I totally feel for your losses. However, I'm glad to see you still recognize the good aspect. You certainly were lucky your boat was in the shop. As fortunate as that is, there's obviously a big black cloud inside that silver lining!

Sorry for your loss, Lipsticker, that really sucks. The place we're staying at has a Ring camera in a couple places. I thought how paranoid can you get, but I guess maybe that's a wise precaution to take..

I feel real bad for you Lip. That really does suck. Guess all you can do is look at the "bright" side. You get to go shopping for all new stuff, hopefully with lots of insurance $$. Also, hopefully karma will get the a**holes who did this back in a big way. They deserve it!!

Definitely a massive shock and disappointment in mankind. There are way too many "thug" types out there! Very sorry to hear about your incident of theft. I know some folks place tree/trail cams around, but if the flash goes off then a "perp" knows where to look unless that feature can be disabled. In your case it sounds like you have a dwelling and perhaps outbuildings. Maybe some good neighbors saw something, or perhaps things are too remote?

I hope that your insurance folks will be understanding and lenient. Maybe some good pictures from your past activities could help them? These days people are getting more desperate, and replacing items may prove to take some time because of low inventories.

I have become much less trusting over the years. When I would plan a day trip to run a river and fish all day I would leave gear at each end (like boats (canoe/kayak/drifter), bikes, quads and tackle) with nothing locked up...always hoping it would be there when I got back. I was very lucky over the years, but started to get that "gnawing feeling" that someday my luck would run out so now I either just don't leave things...or lock them up. For a while I was even locking stuff up in my pole barn...but lately I have gotten lazy and I might just re-think that now after hearing about your story.

All the best to you!

That's a horrible feeling and I know it too well. I really hope your insurance co can make things a little better. I had my house violated in the 70s and lost 11 firearms. I never got over it.
These POSs always get what coming to them but unfortunately we don't see it.

Hearing this just makes me sick to my stomach. It just makes you feel so violated when some a$$ holes steals your stuff. And then having to plead with the insurance company that you’ve paid into for years to protect yourself for just this reason. I think they’re just as bad as the thieves sometimes. I just feel so sorry for your situation, and hope you get some kind of restitution back…🐟on

Yankee, Like I said, Already been informed that I'm S.O.L without "Solid" documentation supporting ownership. And I'm looking at 25% deprecation. Not thinking there will be $ for new and probably gonna go negative just replacing the big stuff.

Lets hope the Police can catch them, That is if there not instructed "Hand cuffs are bad" It will be much better than me catching them, Shame a person needs to spend effort protecting their things, now you need to add a little more and defend them.

Dozer, Gonna tow the line, just like I always have. You're spot on about victimized twice. Robbed by people, Robbed by coverage! I can hardly wait to see what my new rates will be when this is all over.

Sorry. Didn't read it that way. Read wanting receipts, not sol without. Also didn't realize 25%. I still want to believe in karma, that they will get pay back and somehow you will get some help. Best of luck my friend
