YO-ZURI 3DB knuckle bait

So a few weeks ago I was at Cabela's looking for something unique and came across the YO-ZURI knuckle baits.

http://yo-zuri.com/products/knuckle-bait/

Never saw or heard of them before but they looked interesting, especially when I found they were marked down from $14 bucks to .98 cents. Bought a few different colors and on a recent camping trip nailed a huge bucket mouth on the very first cast of the yellow bait. By far, the biggest largemouth I've ever caught in the 70+ years I've been at it. Unfortunately no pictures as my phone was in my camper.

I knew nothing about the lure but I was quickly pleasantly surprised. Returned to Cabela's today and bought the last 6 they had in stock @ .98 cents each.

Anyone else ever used one of these and if so, was it productive for you?

Ralph

Looked kinda gimmicky to me so I never got one , but based on your success, I may have been wrong

Not the first time I’ve been wrong.
I had a couple bags of Senkos in my box for a couple years . They just didn’t impress me
That is until a buddy turned me on to wacky senko fishing.
Since then , I’ve gone thru hundreds of bags.
Good job

Marked down from $14 to $.98 sounds like a clearance price. Are they discontinued and not available any more?

That is quite the find…and profit margin 😉 I may have to look for those, thanks!

I am always amazed at just how many lures there are out there for catching fish. Unlimited shapes colors and sizes to choose from. When you think of what a fish has in their localized "food chain" to select from as natural items, such as leech, crayfish, minnow, etc. it would seem like only a few lures would be needed.

That being said, I would speculate that many fisherfolks have caught fish on just about every lure that has ever been deployed in the water and caught fish on them.

In this case, you have come upon something that works well...so I'd call that a great find and something to use quite often! You also got one heck of a deal! I would have done the very same thing...go back and buy more as spares! Thank you for sharing!

I'll give them a try in saltwater. I bet they will work for redfish and trout.
