I'm new to bass fishing very south Georgia (Valdosta) and the only pond I have to fish is very pressured, I got multiple days at a time and can't get a bite. Someone please help/tell me what to throw since I can't figure it out for the life of me. I don't know if they're spawning or post spawn, water too dark to seen any beds. No vegetation, no cover further out than 2-3ft. And lake is generally the same depth all around.. HELP!

Try throwing a ned rig. You can but them premade or make your own.

I've tried ned and wacky, I guess I'll continue.

South GA is known for great bass fishing. Are there any less pressured spots you can try?

None that I have access to, everything here seems to be privately owned and the only one I have access too is mission pond on Moody afb.

I'm a GA boy too, but north of Atlanta. If you're ever up this way there are tons of bank spots.

I love north Georgia, being about 20 minutes from Florida, not so much.

I live in Augusta and am having the same issue as you. Mostly privately owned ponds. Me and my roommates are planning on investing in kayaks so we can get to more accessible places.

South Georgia here as well (waycross). Why don't you try fishing the withlacoochee river?

Just looked it up, runs right through the outskirts of Valdosta, definitely going to give it a try! Where can I access the bank? I'll figure it out if you're not sure.

Thata what I used to do, it can be irratating messing with tackle, but definitely fun.

Your pond may still be in the spawning funk so bites are tough anyway......add in heavy pressure and yeah....that can be brutal.
in addition to ned rigs, if you have nail weights I suggest trying neko rigs as well. of all the finesse techniques neko rigs are probably the least common so you'd stand out among the crowd.
and if your pond is coming out of the spawn when fish are keying on newborn/spawning brim, a dropshot with a 4" baitfish imitator (shad worm, catchCo shimmer shad, etc) might get some attention.
Also, check out PFA's in your area. I started going to a couple (I'm up in Athens) and even though they're pressured, they're pretty fun to fish. And usually they're manicured for bank fishing as well.

why don't you try live bait a brem on a carolnia rig or a 3to 4 ft float rig
