I have a 12 ft inflatable, works good for me. Have caught some nice fish when I've been out, bass, crappie and catfish. Pays to keep the fish away from it so they don't spike the vynil

During the flowing hormone days- took a girlfriend fishing in the inflatable canoe. Somehow we ended up under the recreation dock (swings/slides etc.) Sowing some really wild oats.
Fishing-- not so good
Experience-- priceless

I have a 10.5 ft campways white water raft that I use for fishing. Works great. The paranoia about hooks piercing it went away rather quickly. I have float tube and a little pontoon type float tube that also work well. If you want to pack boat into small car or rig inflatable is great. Some rivers inflatables are best.

Sounds like a good time. So what kind of job is it when you get the inflatable inflated?

? Not sure what you're asking but if my assumption is correct, you want to avoid strong winds.

Other than being unweildy in high winds or stong currents, I would think an inflatable would do the trick. Just Sayin...RJS

I have a Sea Eagle 285 9' pontoon and love it. Takes waves well but doesn't care much for wind.

That's gotta be a lot like doing it in a waterbed!

Hello TroOfDoom. I have had a 10 ft inflatable pontoon for 11 years now. It's a wonderful fishing tool. I took it to Alaska & had a great time on those cold streams. I just recently put a trolling motor mount on the front & that is working just fine. Reaching around behind me was killing my shoulder. I have never had a hook stick in the heavy vinyl covers that protect the air bladders. The one thing I must do immediately after getting out of the water & loading the pontoon on the trailer is to deflate the bladders to under half full. The high temperatures here will expand those bladders & cause the bladder covers to rupture. That's from experience & new covers were $350. I use a 12 volt Airhead pump that inflates to the proper 2 lbs in only a few seconds. With my motor now in front I bring all my fish on from the side. No catfish. I still have a good belly boat but haven't used it in years. I love my inflatable. Tight lines.
