Got out with my brother yesterday cause he wanted a few for the frying pan! Says he is tired of catch and release? I told him sure we can do that this time! We caught between 25-30 fish and this is what we could legally keep! He says we can’t hurt the population but I gotta go back to catch and release? At least for the most part!

Nice batch of bass there Steve, I’d say you and your bro had a pretty good day.

I personally C&R bass but I don’t think it hurts to keep a few for the frying pan every now and then.
You kept to the limit regs and with a fishing license , you are entitled to do that
Nice catch. Enjoy

I really think that releasing the fish is great for bass fishing especially the bigger ones. My brother is a 68 year old cancer patient and he can do whatever he wants in my boat! I got no problem with him keeping his fish but this time I kept mine too and he was happy to have em. I even filleted em up for him. I was around some big fish Friday but just didn’t get them in the boat . I lost 2 nice ones and my brother had one try to eat a little one he was reeling in! 3 times it grabbed that fish and had it pretty much scaled it . We got a good look at him and it was a giant bass! Really cool sight!

Exciting day! Thanks for sharing the pic. I would have liked to see the big bass chasing the hooked smaller one. WooHoo!
