Was able to get about 5 hours in on the river this evening, we couldn’t pass up when the weatherman said there was going to be a chance of rain! And oooh boooooy did it rain!!! My tank top, underwear, and shorts (inside my waders) were soaked! Couldn’t wear my sunglasses cause they don’t have wiper blades, so rain was dripping in my eyeballs while I fished, good times. But I caught a couple big boys on my favorite corner…. so GOD BLESS you, mighty rain Gods! 👍

A great catch under nasty conditions! No fun when you get soaked...but if you are catching fish then it is much easier to deal with the inconvenience of hard rain! Way to tough it out instead of wondering what "might have happened" if you had stayed home! Sometimes the best fishing ends up being had in less than perfect conditions....

Yes’sr catch & release, only out long enough for a quick photo and make sure they swim away well before moving on.

I’m a firm believer they bite better in a hard rain so I live for those days! 👍

With a rain suit, I'll go out in a
light shower or heavy drizzle,
but will take shelter from a
downpour and will pack it up
if I hear thunder or see lightning !
If I don't have a rainsuit, I usually
carry a box of large black leaf bags
in my truck and use one for an emergency poncho if the weather turns bad while I'm fishing ! Smaller bags can be used for a hoodie/head covering if need be ! It may look odd, but will keep you relatively dry !
