I’ve caught probably a million sunfish in my life Atleast it seems that way ha. I’m sure we all have. But my kid caught one the other day and I was showing him how to unhook the little guy and it had teeth like that too! I feel like it was the first time I’ve ever noticed it!

Yes, the bluegill is one of the many fish in the sunfish family as is the largemouth and smallmouth.
Actually this is a shellcracker that's why they have those small teeth. They are the only fish I know in the Bluegill Sunfish red are family that have teeth like that.

I think your right that it is a shell cracker. I see red color on the head. Otherwise known as a red ear..down here they are known as a bluegill on steroids. They will get over 3 pounds.
