Been here a week and the weather has not been nice to us. Finally got to fish under seven mile bridge out of the wind. Got our share of different species. Hog fish, Pork fish, Grunts, Yellow tail snapper. DNR came and checked us and let us know we could not catch Pork Fish on a hook. They were considered a tropicsl fish. DNR told me years ago as long as you keep them in a live well you were legal. Laws change. Put them all back along with the undersize Hog Fish and Yellow Tail. Got one we didn't know what it was so I'm open for your thoughts.

Great pictures Gordon, looks like you and the wife had a fine time. I’m not too familiar with those species but they certainly are interesting.

Glad you got out and caught Gordon. Also glad DNR was kind to you. The ocean sure has a wide variety of fish, I don't know how anyone could know them all and know all the regulation.

Dnr was very nice. Doing his job. Asked if he wanted to board ane he said he wasn't going to harass us, just checking. Had a lot of respect for him.

That’s as it should be. They have an important job to do, it’s nice when they are respectful and respond to being treated with respect by returning it. Most of them I’ve dealt with are sportsmen trying to protect the resources for all of us.
I was reading a fishing report today from the Utah DWR. They were talking about a couple of lakes they stock that aren’t state parks. They were basically begging for people to pick up their own trash since they don’t have trash service there and the trash blows into the lakes, harming the fish. What a shame they even have to say that, and what a shame people don’t appreciate the fishing opportunities they are provided.
Looks like you had a good day. Way to go. Thanks for the pics. 👍👍👏
