Fishing in San Diego Bay

Fished the San Diego South Bay today, caught 31 spotted bay bass the biggest was 1.4 lbs had 2 larger ones break me off with 8lb line. The wind chased me off at 12.got in 4 hrs. Last time out 3 weeks ago caught 19. The Halibut and Shortfin corvina and croaker and bonefish haven't been around this year for me.

Looks pretty calm there as the wind as died down here in N Cal but now the heat. Nice catch with all those fish now go get the halibut

what was your rig/bait? shore or boat? south bay is pretty big, can you be more specific as to your location? thanks.

I fish out of my boat not far from the aircraft carriers on the east side close to where they unload the car carriers. I've been using Kaylens lunker grubs 3in and 5 inch in blue pearl and Rons craw red color with 1/4 oz jighead low and slow. I'll try to send a picture of the Rons craw.
