Made a camping/fishing trip last Tuesday through Friday from Las Vegas to Pine Valley Reservoir Northwest of St George, UT. Great weather aside from the wind! Was near 40 degrees Friday morning. Great fishing also, caught over 20 Rainbows, ate one cooked in foil on campfire coals, returned home with 5. I gave two to another group not doing as well and released the others. The biggest was 11 inches. Was using spinning outfit with 3 inch pink worm and slip bobber.
One trout threw the hook back at me with a last jump out of the water just as I was getting him next to the bank and swam back into the deep.
Will be going back again first week in August. Fish were stocked twice this spring, total of 5000 eight to ten inches.
Thanks for the beautiful pictures of lake and trout. Just Sayin...RJS
