Mornin' Stagers, to those who are on now and to those soon to be here.

67* now and 93* later, some wind, 40% chance of rain this afternoon, and a 50% tonight. We need rain very badly. We put a new, high-tech thermometer up a couple of weeks ago, so far, every day this week, it has read over 100*. I questioned if it wasn't reading high, the forecast would be in the 90s*. Yesterday afternoon it read 101.3, I looked at the one on the garage door, and old cheapy, it read 101*. I found another cheapy and put it up. It read 103*. I'm thinking, that our weather forecast comes from La Crosse, WI., which is on the Miss. River, and perhaps the River keeps it a little cooler down there. (IDK)

Today will be the last day that I will post for about 5 days, My oldest son, his youngest son, my brother, and I are going to be headed for the Lake of The Woods, MN. side, early tomorrow morning. I hope I don't forget my phone and I hope we catch some fish. Before the Covid thing we would always go up to Sioux Lookout, Canada and spend a week up there, but the border has been closed for two years.

Have a good one, guys and gals.

Mornin’ Leo, you forget that you are much closer to the sun than LaCrosse (a little SW and up on the bluff). I am sure the River keeps them a little cooler than you. Have a great time with the boys, safe trip, good luck and don’t forget those pics!

Good luck, Leo save some for seed! When you're done with the rain send it south, we're really dry here, too. 2 weeks 'till I head up to a small lake just south of Walker MN. Can't wait!

Leech Lake has been on fire, I'm not sure about the other lakes up there. Which lake do you fish?

We have been jumping around trying to find the perfect lake house to rent. This year it is Man Lake, between Hackensack and Longville. Connects with the larger Baby, but I don't know if the pontoon will fit under the bridge.

Good morning assorted knuckleheads. 82 later, muggy and thunderstorms. May not fish today. Would like to try new rod and reel though. We will see. Last day off, then 4 on for work.

Why did the guy with a foot fetish like to swim in rough seas? He couldn't resist the undertow.

Good luck Leo. Enjoy your time with your son. Don't forget pics. Wake up Oz.

My SIL and her husband had a cabin on Women Lake, and their daughter and her husband had a cabin on Man Lake. But, they always fished Leech Lake. Go figure. Good luck!
