Is it possible to get tetanus from the little pokes you get from hooks say when threading a worm on or handling lures?

Are you using rusty hooks that have been in the dirt? Tetanus caused by a soil bacterium the rusty metal just better surface for the bacteria than clean and if you’re drawing blood handling lures let someone else tie on your tackle

Just get a tetanus booster. One more small poke is no big deal. Then you can quit worrying about it.

10 years even if you had no injury, 5 years with injuries, that’s what we went by in the military. So pretty much 5 years. Haven’t made any 5 years of my life without injury…….or probably not 1 year
