From Camels back to Riding Camels!

The founder of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid, was asked about the future of his country. He replied, "My grandfather rode a camel. My father rode a camel. I ride a Mercedes. My son rides a Land Rover. My grandson is going to ride a Land Rover. My great-grandson is going to have to ride a camel again."

Why is that, he was asked? He replied, "Hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times. Easy times create weak men, weak men create difficult times. Many will not understand it, but you have to raise warriors, not parasites."

The historical reality is that all great empires (e.g. Persians, Trojans, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, British, etc.) all rose and perished within 240-years. They were not conquered by external enemies. They rotted from within.

America is beyond the 240-year mark. The rot is starting to be visible and is accelerating. We are past the Mercedes and Land Rover years. The camels are on the horizon. Just Sayin...RJS

there is no better example than the history of Isreal as read in the Hebrew scriptures (Old testement) They sought after God...God blessed them and they became complacent and turned from God...God punished them usually by another country coming through and conquering them....they called out to God and turned back to Him....God blessed them and they became complacent and turned from God...and on and on the cycle went. Not learning from history America certainly is following the same cycle. Proverbs 30:8,9 says "...give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God." But we are more likely to agree with the quote from the conversation in the movie fiddler on the roof. "Money is the world's curse."... "May the Lord smite me with it. And may I never recover." and the way we are headed we may not recover.

All well and good about most of
those empires, but the Romans
ruled Europe and the Mediterranean for much longer than that ! True,
they only became an empire after Julius Caesar (65 B.C. ?), but they dominated their sphere of influence as the Roman Republic long before that happened, from roughly the
mid-5th century B.C. to the mid-5th century A.D. - a span of nearly a thousand years !

Some of us go back way more than three generations and never DID get out of rags. And proud to be here still enjoying the simple life of those rags. I will also share my rags with anyone who needs them and it won’t cost them a dime.👍
