Hi I'm looking at catfish baitcasting combos and don't know where to start. I'm new to baitcasters. I just like the feel and ease of baitcasters. If not a combo what reel is a good starting point?

heemhah: Well, Dude, go to Walmart, Bass ProShop, or any other Large Box store that carries fishing tackle. They will have a large selection of bait casting combo rigs. You don't need to spend a ton of money, just something that is dependable. I think that a Ugly Stick would work fine, if you are fishing for catfish you will not be casting all the time, just once and a while. Just Sayin....RJS

Morning Grizz, I'm not a catfishermen, but know a few guys that use the cat max series and have never heard any complaints about the rods or reels.
Hi Fred. I got this rig went i thought i was going to Ft Washington for some BIG cats. It's near DC. Well the guy sold his boat trip never happened. Nice outfit well balanced can cast a 1oz sinker along way. Never fished with it yet. I did take hvy line off n spooled 15lb power pro. Time to diversify my fishing 😀😀
