Hey all. I'm looking for some real tiny circle hooks suitable for catching tiny fish. My go to hook is usually a size 4 aberdeen, but I've learned of a regulation for the Delaware river that, when fishing with bait, one must use a circle hook. So I'm looking for the absolute smallest circle hooks out there. Any suggestions?

The smallest I've found are size 8 and they're not easy to come by. I bought a bunch of them from cabela's several years ago (they were barbless too) but they no longer carry them. If you do find a source, please let me know.

Gamakatsu size 8 non offset circles. I'm pretty sure those regs apply only to stripers. It would be a little hard to press a case against you if you're using bait on anything smaller than a size 1 hook. That said I do use size 8 circles for bluegills. They are available at local Cabelas.

Waterhorse: Think that reg only applies to striped bass angling.

I have size 10, but you can probably use #14 or 16 egg hooks.

I have used size 10 circle hooks for small planter trout with my grandkids and they work pretty good. Just remember let the fish set the hook don't give it a jerk or you will pull it out of the fishes mouth also you have to leave the circle part of the hook exposed or it will not rotate correctly when the fish turn to swim away and hook itself in the side of the mouth.

Try L42 Eagle Claws. They are not circle hooks but hook the fish the same and are lighter wire than Circle hooks. Why would Delaware put such a restriction on hooks?

It's not Delaware, it's all north east states and it's only on striped bass.
