You have some Rattlesnake Den’s or water near you is my guess. Can make cowboy hat bands or belt skins are neat with large Rattlesnake skins.

Yeah you're probably right Jeremy I've got two excavators and a dozer up there for the last 3 days tearing out shrubs and things like that all around the property as far as the water goes it would be the swimming pool directly in the middle of everything so I think you may have hit the nail on the head

Every time the excavator would put his bucket in the middle of the shrubbery Wildlife would scatter in all directions lots of kangaroo rats so plenty of food for those snakes

I had a great uncle who had a two-room cabin outside of Columbia Calif. He had a long pole with a wire hoop at the end that he would put over their head and pull and catch them and cut the head off and put it in a jar of alcohol and in the winter when he would burn his brush pile he would throw the head in and burn it. Sometimes he would go out of his way to catch them until he followed one into a den of them and slowly crept his way out there.

If you have the time lay the skin on a board and nail it down cover with salt 🧂 for a couple days wipe it down and soak it in glycerin rose 🌹 oil for another day will make a nice hat band or belt

Don't fry in butter as the meat sucks up the salt and makes it un edible !
