Beautiful day at Shenipsit lake Wednesday but not a single nibble or even accidental bumping of my worm. As old saying goes I could have been working. Guess I'll just have to try again. Good luck to those who get out over the weekend.

Looks like a beautiful lake, and I’m sure you’ve heard the adage “ a bad day fishing is better than a .... .... .. ....”

Just to spend time in a place like that, for me, is reward enough all by itself. Great pic, thanks Yankee!!

Agree, that's old saying I was referring to. Never a bad day fishing.

I couldn't agree more. How are you OBG? I'm still planning on getting out there to see my mom, just not sure when.

Give me a holler YB. I am going on a road trip in about 10 days. Az, Nv, Ut, Co. Some fishing, golf, hiking, train ride, and quite possibly a drink or two.

Kandi.... I'm right near Marlborough/Columbia. Definitely fish Columbia Lake, Usual mix of fish for this area, good LM bass lake. Let me know when you'll be here and I can give ya good spots to shore fish if you will not have a boat. Do you know anyone who can get you onto lake Terramugus in Marlboro ? Excellent bass lake, but resident and guest only fishing. Must have resident permit to use launch. Need license ( Connecticut ) also. No shore access that I am aware of.
Good small stream trout fishing in area also. Always looking to help anglers in need of assistance. Will get you contact info when I figure out how to reply privately on this site. Stand by.

I have never fished columbia lake. I just started fresh water fishing this year, I had always been a salt guy. Shenipsit lake is the only lake I have fished. I will check out columbia lake, thanks.

Hi Nutz, I'd be interested in trying columia lake. I don't have a boat so it's shore fishing only. If you have some good spots and want to share I would appreciate the help. Maybe we can arrange to meet there
