Yesterday was the perfect day to be out fishing, no wind and water was like glass. It did Rain a little but was light and not enough to call it quits. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. Only one bite on my bluegill and didn’t hook up on it. The carp fishing was a blast I caught one and tried to weigh it but the batteries were bad, guessing it was 10#. Then my grandson and I both hooked up on a couple of big carp, his broke his line and mine got off five minutes into the fight. Man them carp can really put up a fight, I guess that’s why they’re so fun to fish for them.
The humidity was so high we could see our breath in the beams of our head lamps. Never seen that before and it was only 63 out. It looked like we were smoking a juul.

Nice day rut. Great fish and a pretty sunset.
Thanks FD. I was just thinking how much fun it would of been catching that fish while sitting in a float tube!

Nice fish Buck. Thanks for sharing. That last picture reminded me of this picture. LOL
Yup we were seeing big carp that close to the bank. We were only casting 25-30 feet out and that old sand pit is deep too. All the carp were close to the bank.
Carping is picking up in America,I started 3 years ago,now I don't want to catch anything else. Extreme fighters they are,my biggest so far was 32 lb.Hook into one why would you want to fish for anything else.
GOD Bless America AGAIN
Chris
Man finder that 32 pounder must of been one hell of a fighter. I’ve seen them that big in this little lake but have yet to tie in to one of them.

Looks like a great day Rut, and beautiful water. Thanks for the pix.
Nice story and supporting photos! Looks like a great time!
Carp are very under rated by many...probably because they do not seem to fair well at the dinner table (of course that is only my opinion). I have only tried them smoked and did not care for the strong flavor. Maybe should have tried a different brine?! Habitat may play a huge role in their ultimate "flavor"....
Too many other fish taste delicious to me smoked...so for now I'll pass on consumption.
If you want a good fish battle...then in many instances...a carp is the answer, and they are widely available to just about any of us!
