First time for granddaughter.

This was my granddaughter's first time, on the same trip as Graywulff joined me.
And my son in law had fished numerous times and only caught two fish his entire life. With a little coaching we had him dragging in smallies, largemouth, and stripers.
There are shortcomings with getting old but being able to share my favorite place with friends like Graywulff and my son in law and granddaughter makes up for a lot.

Great pictures! Remember, Grandpaw, if you fish, when you catch something, let your granddaughter reel it in and land it. And made a big deal and applause on her doing a great job. Just Sayin...RJS

Great looking fish Jim, and great looking water to do it on! Thanks for the pics, variety is the spice of life.

Robert,
On this day she caught a dozen on her own with her little Zebco starter pole. No need to let her reel in mine or cheer her on. And most eight year olds when they catch their first fish either say "Yuck" or feel sorry for it. This kid held it up and said "I'm going to eat you for supper."πŸ˜‚

OutStanding understanding for a little Gal. I raised several of those myself, my girls used to name the Steer’s we were keeping to eat, β€œT-Bone” , β€œSpud”, & β€œRed”, ect., and they had no problem eating any of them when it came time. We raised a few cattle through the years. Kids just know what they like!
