Had a pretty good day. Was pretty windy though. Caught quite a few fish, probly 12 or so keepers and twice that many shorts. We kept 3. All bout 19 to 20 inches.
At one point we had fish jumpin all around us and they wouldn't hit anything. Couldn't figger out what they were feedin on. Probly little baitfish or shrimp.
Couple of pics of the same fish.

Nice fish. Did you look in their stomachs to see what they were feeding on? Besides your lures that is. 😁😁😁

Nice catch Saw, if you check the stomach contents and see what they were feeding on you can duplicate it next time.
Thanks for the pictures.

We did. It looked like some kind of digested shrimp. But they were very small. IDK.

Probably grass shrimp. We have them in some lakes. They are tiny and hard to imitate except maybe with a Fly, although an Alabama Rig might, if they're legal in the area.

We used to have a camp on an oxbow lake northwest of Baton Rouge and we could buy containers of live grass shrimp the bait shop caught daily. The bream, goggle eye, sac-a-lait and occasional bass and catfish loved them. A small hook on a cane pole with a cork So much fun.
