Had a good day today. Not too windy till afternoon and we caught maybe 12 to 15 fish. Couple of real nice SM, close to 3 #. And we kept 2 nice LM. Neighbors really appreciate them.
The split rock pic is usually under bout 40 feet of water. Tried to show how far down the lake is.
Got home and Brad calls and says to be at his house at 0630 tomorrow to go striper fishin.
Was out on the lake nearly 9 hours today. OH well, somebody's got to do it. I can sleep/rest when I'm dead.

Great day on the lake...glad you had success with fish on the line as well! Wow...that is a huge volume of water missing from the lake! It must be slowly going down over many years of elapsed time?

Excellent photos!

The Great Lakes region seems to finally be subsiding with the trend of rising water levels, and so far it would appear that it peaked last season and should be a little lower this year by about a foot. For a while, shoreline cities around here thought they might end up partially under water like the stories of lost Atlantis!

Great catch Steve, sounds like you guys had a ball. I see what you were talking about with the level being down so low. How does that affect the weed/vegetation in the lake? It would seem that sunlight is hitting parts of the bottom that were in the darkness since the lake was made. Do lots of weeds grow, or less, or normal amounts?
Good luck on the Stripers today!

I think that there isn't as much weed growth this year because of that reason. Plus the lake is droppin nearly a foot a week. I really don't think they are goin to let us keep lauchin our boats out there much longer. Water level is nearly to the end/bottom of the ramp.
We entered the 50%+ water level for the lake last week.
