Does the leader color matter?

Hi all, I'm still kind of new to the hobby and I've just started fishing sturgeons. The shopkeeper who I always buy from gave me a couple of meters of neon yellow braided line to make my leaders. It seems strong, I caught a strong 5 kg storgeon on that, but all the other bites I got were pretty suspicious and I couldn't catch any other.

Is the color a problem? What colors can I use instead?

Yes, csst, csst; there are so many other more important variables that using yellow leader is so far far down the list, as the other post said, use what you got! Just Sayin...RJS
