Beautiful pictures, that one on the hula popper must have been fun. Nothing like topwater catches.

Nice catch Jwid, that looks like perfect topwater conditions. I'll bet you had a ball! Thanks for the pictures.

Yes, it does get very calm. The glassy water makes for great photos.

Thanks

Ya got to love top water fishing, the bite can be explosive as hell. Bass are a blast when fishing top water. I was fishing a live rather large frog top water when a big pike hit. Water exploded and went 10 foot in the air and the fish was almost completely out of the water. No hookup but that pike cut that frog cleanly in half just behind the hook. That was cool!

Thanks for the comments.

Top water hook ups are a blast. Those bass were clearly jumping multiple lengths of themselves out of the water. I was in a canoe and had to focus on not tipping over while keeping the rod tip down and the line tight. Adds another bit of excitement to the fight where the fish could win by not only throwing the hook, but dunking me in the lake. Getting ready for more action. Good luck to you all during the Memorial Day holiday. Thank you for the service of the Veterans and families of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this great country.
