Arbogast Jitterbug. Great for calm water mornings. Hula poppers are in the tackle box as well.

Uncut. How long ago did you start using jitterbug? I had jbug- devil horse prop bait n popr. 1st topwater twicth bait was a rapala balsa minnow. Read in a mag break lip off to create surface twitch bait. Worked well. 👍👍

JOINTED Arbogast jitterbug. I like black on a moonlit night for bass. 2nd choice, Crazy Ike.

I haven't tried the jointed yet. I did use black jitterbug at night. Definitely a fun time when you hear the splash set the hook then hear hooks jingling as it's coming at head but can't see it LOL

60 years ago when I was 12. My mother and I camped 2 weeks every summer on a flowage in northern Wisconsin.

Hula popper. Triple twitch and rest just a split second and repeat. Twitch is very fast but almost no retrieve. Hook lickers can’t help but chomp on it. Just get it into the weed bed edge or dropped into a void.

For me it would be the Hula Popper as well. Love that blurp and struggle action...and so do the fish!

I have a couple jitterbug that are at least 50yrs old the old metal lip. They've been bent many times but still work. Have a couple hula popper about that age also. Before i had a boat I'd cast one of the two lures out as far as i could. Keep letting them float down river then start reeling. Worked pretty good.
