Got some decent stripers today

Went out on a friend’s boat and got some pretty nice stripers. Nothing huge but pretty good ones.

That is a very large fish! In fact it could probably eat everything I catch on an annual basis in one giant bite! That must have been a great battle on the rod. Way to go!

Naw FF, picture is better than it looks, buddy’s bogo grip measured it at 39#.

Nice striper BK! I know we have bigger than that on the east coast, but that is still a big striper by any standards. I hope you get a bigger one.

The head looks big for a 39. Was that in the Hudson river?

Yeah FF,that’s NYC in the background. Never been there on foot and don’t intend to but the fishing’s pretty good.

Yeah BK, Lot's of fat girls coming down the river at this time of year. I heard that there's a lot of bunker around so they should have the feed bag on.

Loaded with bunker FF, one fling of the castnet and we filled the live wells.

What size hook did you use ? I’m using live shad and a 3 and 4/0 hook which I believe is too small...
