They both feel the exact same to me. When I have a fish obviously the bite stays and I reel it in. Any tips on how to tell and what the difference is? Thanks!

After a while, you just know, I can't really explain it.

Hook sets are free, when in doubt just rip it .

Like the other two said, eventually you just know the difference by feel and you can always just set the hook when in doubt.
I personally will pause my retrieve, lift the rod tip slowly until the line is tight and feel for a tug. If there is some tugging happening while you do this then its obviously a fish. If there isnt any tugging, I'll do a couple twitches to pound my lure on the obstruction (rock, timber, etc) and then hop it over. A lot of times that will trigger a bite by making some noise and movement, then they hit it as it pops over and falls.

Its kinda weird but once you get on enough fish you just know. It doesnt take very long either as long as your catching a lot of fish. Ive completely taught myself the difference in about 2 or so months this pre spawn.

If you have taught yourself in two months you obviously aren't fishing for stealhead. The little ones often hammer your offering, but the big ones did not get big by hitting hard, sometimes it just a slight hesitation in your line.
A bite will want to take your fishing rig a snag will let you keep it
If you you feel a snag, just keep line taught, if the rod tip moves a little, set hook. Remember hook sets are free.
I raise my rod tip and hold a gentle pull if the line doesn't move I do not jerk if my line is moving I set the hook. The old man.
