I went to Lake Blalock SC yesterday.I caught 7 bass and a bluegill. Biggest bass was 2. 6 lbs others just dinks. It was my first catch of the year. This lake is 20 miles south of Rutherfordton NC. It’s the closest lake to me. I caught them on a wacky rigged worm and on med. sized crank baits. There was a lot of action on the lake. Carp were mating and really thrashing in the weeds very shallow. There were 2or 3 swimming together. All looked to be about 10 lbs I must have seen about 30.I have never seen them this active. No pictures. I am going back on Friday am.

Take some corn. Hooking into a ten pound carp is fun. Good luck.

Sounds like a pretty good day. Used to bow fish for carp about this time of year and use them for fertilizer in the garden. Never had better 🌽 since then.

I don’t do that anymore. Last time the raccoons had a party in my garden. Total loss. Replanted the tomatoes, but by the time they recovered it was too cold. Green tomatoes is all I harvested.
