I’d like to be able to detect subtle bites streamer fishing for Great Lake steelhead in a tributary. If not, what would be a good way to fish streamers for them? I’m pretty new to the salmonid aspect of fly fishing. Ugh it seems so intimidating. There’s just so much I don’t know.

Streamers are meant to be stripped to imitate a bait fish not an insect.
My thoughts anyway.
