Sacramento River Trolling

Tried trolling the Sacramento using some of the tips picked up from you guys. Worked the banks around Garcia Bend toward Freeport bridge. Hooked 2 very small spotted bass on a shad spoon. Even with the wind it was still a good day. No fish but did get to play with the new fish finder. Beats the hell out of yard work!

I did see one gut pull in a really nice size striper on chicken liver of all things. I just started fishing that area and am still trying to figure out where the fish are.

Anything day fishing is better than the best day mowing the lawn. Hey by way is Garcia Bend open for boat? Last year it was closed for levy repairs.
