Since I'm not an owl nor am I flexable enough to steer the thing, fish and know where I'm going all at the same time, I made a mount in front of me. Good luck, Fisher, it makes more sense to me to have the trolling in front rather than behind me. It could be in the way a little, but you will learn to fish around it.

I have one of those and I'm leaving mine in the back. Soon as I get my trailer and get it registered. One more California nightmare to deal with. I don't see any numbers on your boat. Not necessary in Colorado? California anything with a motor gots to be registered.

Just an FYI : If you just use the motor on your pontoon boat and do not need all that shaft, It is real easy to pull the head and disconnect the wires to the lower unit. Then cut off the shaft to a more comfortable size being careful to not cut the wires. Reattach wires and head and you are good to go without your motor being so far down in the water or the handle being so high. Nice set up on the forward hookup.

I got it registered. Just haven't got the sticker yet. Yes Colorado doesn't miss a chance to charge for all our "freedoms". $60.25. Now if you want to use the Colorado river boat ramps you have to have a fishing lic. or a hunting lic. $ Cachinggggggggggg.
