Retired 6 months ago after far too many years in Arizona. Ready for some trout and bass fishing, and it looks like plenty of both around here!
I'd also like to find a farm pond to fish in this area. Any suggestions? I grew up in NJ, but loved bass fishing ponds in western PA.
I don't remember if there was a fishing area near the Japanese gardens there or not. Table rock lake is an hour away I believe. We Kayaked below a dam there to another lake that would have had good fish. If all else fails Bass Pro has a really stocked area there in town. You might have to deal with angry employees though. Good luck with your search.
Check the missouri department of conservation there are a lot of conservation areas around . I am in carthage, mo. We used to fish bushwacker wildlife area in vernon county. Also mdc puts out a monthly conservation magazine its great and its free just go on line, mdc.mo.gov/conmag to sign up.
