Well, yes. With Saw's help I officially ended the skunk over a month ago. But as previously stated on here a while back, in my heart I won't feel like it's truly ended until I catch a trout and I can restore my confidence in my knowledge of trout fishing. It feels kinda phony for me to be handing out advice to folks when I haven't been able to hook into one of my favorite fish for over a year. And not for lack of tryin either. I used to be pretty good at catching em, and now suddenly - nothing! It's like I don't know what I'm doin.

Don't feel too bad - I've got a good idea what it's like ! ALL of my PBs
were caught back home in N.H. !
Been here since Oct., 2012 - other
than a handful of trout (10" to 13") that I've caught up on the 'Rim'
lakes, I haven't caught more than
three bass, one 2-lb. sucker, and
a few 'sunnies' in the past eight
years ! Then again, I don't get out
near as much as I did back then,
either ! Current gas prices don't
help either, as they limit my trout-fishing trips something fierce !
Good luck getting rid of that residual, tell-tale scent - maybe a trip to Crowley (or some other decent trout lake) will help you bury that little
rascal for good ! Then again, the Sacramento River is much closer,
and according to some photos I've
seen, it holds some pretty big
rainbows, salmon and steelhead !
That little beauty in the picture was just caught four days ago, on May 15th, so they're biting somewhere
along that river ! (Just a suggestion !)
Good luck and tight lines (soon !),
buddy !
