Hi, I'm just getting into fishing and I am going to purchase the ugly stiks gx2 6.6 medium spinner I see recommended alot. The reel size for the pflueger kind of confuses me . To be honest I just got my license and I wanna catch fish. Idk what I wanna catch or where I'm going lol. Is there a middle ground for the size just for a casual new fisher ? Thanks

I just talked to my friend . A place I wanna go to has carp, catfish, bass and trout. He said he caught a turtle once too. It's a river or a lake not sure

A 2500 ought to serve you well.

For the Pflueger brand, I believe a size 30 is about the same size at the Shimano or Daiwa 2500.

I think the 25 Pflueger is quite a bit smaller and the 35 quite a bit bigger.

If carp and catfish are the primary species, you may want to go for a size 35, otherwise I would recommend a 30.

Either one can work for all of the species you listed.

25 or 30 should work for any of the fish mentioned.
