Especially on beer ! Funny how
buying beer in quantity reduces the price per can - a six-pack of Bud
Light goes for about $7.49/6-pk. ($1.21/can), a 12-pk. runs about $10.99 ($.92/can), and a 30-pk.
is only $19.99 ($.67/can) ! So buying bulk pays off (for me, anyway), as buying a 30-pk. vs. five 6-pks. saves
me $17.46/month (just on beer
alone) !

Assuming you only have one beer per day. 😂

Which is just about what I drink - one
a day, occasionally two, and often
skip a day or two in between ! NOT
a heavy drinker, and sometimes people who know me are surprised when/if I have three or more the
same day (which only happens at BBQs and parties/celebrations) !

You can justify either to yourself or anyone who might be interested any new tackle purchases on all the cash you save by buying 30 packs! You'd be getting beer anyway so the tackle would be a bonus!

Bought two new rigs last year, each running about $100, so there'll be no more major purchases for awhile !
For now, I'm limiting myself to accessories/terminal tackle so that
I can save up for an upcoming trip
(or two) ! Looking for certain lures,
a wider, longer-handled net, 'cup and spike' type rod-holders (to press into the ground for shoreline fishing), and extra spools for my new reels !

The cash I save on 30-pks. usually goes toward special food items, like when Kroger/Fry's Foods has their sales on rib-eyes/T-bones, then
I use that extra savings to stock up !
Whatever I save on beer goes back into the food budget for special, higher-item food purchases !

Am currently waiting for notice of a new HUD-subsidized vacancy - once
I have my own place again, I'm
gonna splurge a little bit for one
day (to celebrate) and have a clam-bake with some close friends; 'steamers', lobsters and beer will be
topping the menu !
