Daiwa Tatula SV TW 2020 is a little loud on retrieve.
I just bought this reel and was wondering if anyone else with this reel have this issue? Other than this it feels ok enough, not as smooth as I was expecting, but it’s just kinda loud. I can’t tell if it’s the main shaft gears or the worm gears.
I had heard that some of the 100 size Daiwas come a bit under greased. Could this be the issue?

The grease may have settled outside the gears?

Definitely worth a look see. If you can take it apart. Be very careful not to disturb any springs. If it is new there should be no cleaning needed. Use a small paintbrush, like you would use if you were an artist, not a house painter to put some grease on the gears and anything else you see. Reassemble and tests. Let us know if this fixes the problem Bastian10691.
I have the same reel and it also had a small grinding sound to the gears or so I thought it was the gears and so I opened up the side cover and I found one tension spring had come loose. All I had to do was put the tension spring back in its correct place and a bit of grease on the gears and it was as smooth as a snake and as quiet as a mouse.
