Thanks Gordon. I enjoy yours too. Hopefully I’ll get a bunch of new pictures this summer🤞 We did pretty good ice fishing cascade lake for perch this year too. The smallest perch we kept was 12”. Caught several nice Camaloop too.

I’ve learned lots of good things from the guys and gals here on the stage. One of the best bits of advice I’ve gotten is never argue with an idiot. That just makes you an idiot as well. Thanks guys. I’ve taken your advice and it sure feels good. I’ve always been one to accept a good challenge but entertaining childish behavior just makes a problem get worse in many cases and that’s not really a challenge. 👍

My Dad told me at 18,"Never argue with a Drunk or an Idiot, you can't change them because they don't listen."

Thanks Plum. My business isn’t guiding. It’s just getting paid to fish. I’ll make a few bucks guiding elk hunters this fall but it’s just part of my “part time” job there. When I’m squaw fishing from May through September it’s a depredation deal paid by Bonneville power company. I’m gonna be building our house this summer so fishing will fit in where it fits. The wife told me she’s about done camping in the RV. LOL. With lumber prices the way they are here, and I’ll bet everywhere, I kinda doubt we’ll get much more than the basement in this year but we’re on the list for that sometime around mid summer. I’ll fish till then.

Good luck to you on that project. Know what you mean about lumber prices, saying ridiculous is just not strong enough of a word. From the harvest to the delivery into one's home, Covid has found a way to rip us off in yet another way.

I was talking to an Inspector a few weeks ago who told me a 3,000sq ft house he was building had a price increase of 50K for the lumber alone. My Cabinet Builder for the kitchen remodel told me I was lucky that I signed in December as his lumber price tripled, so the cost would have doubled at least in January. We are not running out of trees, but people to do the work and to deliver the lumber.

Normally lumber futures have traded at $250 per thousand board feet for years. Now they are trading at over $1400.00.

That is going to put a bite in new home sales. Ought to be interesting the next year whatever is going to happen with the home buying and remodeling industries.
